The Story
Winner of the Scottish Nature Photographer of Year 2021
A winter muirburn at Bunabhainneadar created this spectacular scene right on my doorstep in Ardhasaig. By controlling the exposure and contrast for the fire in the foreground and the snow covered moutains behind, each element helps the other to really stand out. As one customer put it, it looks like a scene from Lord of the Rings!
