Luskentyre Summer Dunes

Strolling along the shore of Luskentyre is always a wonderful way to spend an afternoon but one of the most amazing aspects of this location is seeing how the beach has changed since your last visit. Dunes get added to or eroded by passing storms, great troughs open up along the beach creating deep pools that trap the outgoing tide and the sand itself is transformed into beautiful rolling textures by the Atlantic winds. In this particular image, the pristine sand in the foreground with it's subtle, rolling texture, leads your eye down towards the viridian and cobalt blue shoreline and on towards the dramatic North Harris mountains.
